The Fargo-Moorhead area and Red River Valley community is truly a collective family to be proud of. From our home in Moorhead we fondly remember, to our current location in Fargo, our mission has been (and will be) to continue growing and supporting those in the community who have given so much to us.
Here are a few of the ways we are privileged to give back:
“Drive to Serve” was started on the premise of Luther Automotive Group and its employees wanting to do something for the greater good of our community. The efforts of Drive to Serve and its volunteers have put together over 3,000,000 meals for hungry children around the world. In addition to that, for every bag of food packaged, 25 cents was contributed to the Emergency Foodshelf Network in Minnesota and The Veterans Airlift Command. Those efforts have raised over $140,000. Our family of employees is continually encouraged to assist victims of tragedies such as The Red Cross, CARE, World Vision, or UNICEF and matched employee contributions up to $100,000 for each situation. Luther Automotive is also committed to our environment and is the largest solar friendly auto dealer in the state of Minnesota. The collective efforts of our Luther Automotive dealerships has recycled over 250,000 gallons of used oil, more than 100,000 oil filters, and large amounts of other auto parts such as antifreeze, batteries, tires, and sheet metal.
We have proudly supported the Sanford Health Foundation and Roger Maris Cancer Center through the 61 for 61 and Home Run Walk. All proceeds from the activities during the event benefit local cancer patients and their families at the Roger Maris Cancer Center. Some of our own staff and family have benefited greatly from this foundation, so we are happy to give back.
The Fargo Marathon is a four-day event with something for everyone, including the Cyclothon, Furgo Dog Run, Largest Kid’s Race, 5k Walk/Run, 10k, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon where you can qualify for the Boston Marathon. We are happy to support all of our local runners and active community members with a Gold Level donation along with being the official vehicle provider of the Fargo Marathon!
It is without question that NDSU is a cornerstone of our community. We are honored to able to provide them with numerous staff vehicles each year.
It is a privilege for us to be able to give back to the community through the Fill the Dome food drive. The program aims to provide enough food and cash for 500,000 meals in the region each year.
Naturally, as an automotive dealership, our store is filled with race fans. We enjoy supporting Red River Valley Speedway and the Red River Fairgrounds throughout the year.
FM Redhawks baseball is a staple our community, and we enjoy supporting them each year. The Redhawks manager gets to enjoy a vehicle provided by Luther Family Buick GMC each season.
